Cited from Wikipedia:The player controls the titular detective Mackenzie as she solves four mysteries in the small town of Osawari. Both the art style and the plot reflect a subtle fantasy mood – for example, the first case is to track down a thief who is stealing someone's dreams. Aside from the main plots, there are also a number of small bonus mysteries that involve much simpler tasks. There is also a Touch Notebook containing a list of major items in the game the player has touched.
The game is entirely controlled via the touch screen. Tapping a location on the screen will talk to a character or examine an object. The player has an inventory of items collected, and may use them on other items or objects in the environment. The player can also communicate with the characters along conversation trees or present inventory items to them to learn new information. Mackenzie's pet mushroom, Funghi, is used as an aid in some puzzles.
Review:HUGE HUGE fan of this game. It is
highly addictive and you will find yourself glued to it to complete EVERYTHING.
I worship investigative games (I previously completed a
CSI game in one day) no matter how dizzy I get trying to solve the mysteries. It's a challenge and hey, people say that
games like that increases brainpower so it's like killing 2 birds with one stone!
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical in the beginning because
I thought that the graphics were not as good as The Legend of Zelda, Lego Star Wars and other 3D games, and instead was presented with cutesy girls. Cutesy girls in an investigative game? But
a few minutes into the game, the gameplay made up for it. I was glued! The characters are very interactive, and you can bug absolutely everyone!!! I love how there is no crappy dialogue and that
sarcasm in dialogues is the way of life in this game.
You'll be laughing your way through completing this! And if you are done with this, there is
the second version of the game! I am currently starting with it!
Oh, and just how much I love this game? Check out my current desktop:
